As an east county resident for the past forty years, I have followed Jarrett’s story. I don’t recall donating to the Foundation but in recent years, I’ve become aware of some interesting connections with the Foundation. First, I read recently that Boy Scout Troop 392 has been involved with Foundation activities. My two sons were members of T392 where one of my sons, Colin, earned his Eagle Award and where I served as Assistant Scout Master. The other discovery is that I recently learned that Jarrett’s mother, Judy and I were in the same 3rd grade class together. While I am saddened when I think of the tragedy which brought about this tribute to this unique and beautiful child, I am heartened to know of the great work being done by the Foundation in his name. My donation is being processed.
    Sincerely,
    Don Parent

    Hi Don,
Thank you for your kind words and generous donation to Jarrett’s Foundation. Great connection with the boy scouts. They have been a tremendous help to us each year. They come the first day of camp and set up about 18-20 tents, come back in the evening to get our bonfire going, entertain our third graders with stories, skits and songs, help the campers with making S’mores and then coming back the last day of camp to clean out and take down the tents and pack them in our trailer. Amazing service that we so appreciate. There is another connection. The elementary school we service is down the street from OSH. It’s Central Elementary School on 39th St. Thank you again and wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year – 2020! Fondly, Judy.
